Events & Offerings

Our free ecotherapy and trauma-healing programs are scheduled directly through organizations or by individual request.

If you are a safe house, domestic violence survivor, human trafficking survivor, veteran, therapist, or support organization interested in experiencing one of our trauma-informed ecotherapy programs, please reach out at motherbearsanctuary@gmail.com

We are currently booked for most weekends through August 2026, though weekday opportunities are still available. Weekend availability opens again beginning in September 2026.

To learn more about our approach, please explore our Four-Step Multi-Modality Ecopsychology Approach to Healing Trauma, which focuses on:

  1. Safety – Nervous system regulation and creating a foundation of trust.
  2. Agency – Reconnecting with choice, voice, and embodied empowerment.
  3. Belonging – Cultivating connection with self, others, animals, and the more-than-human world.
  4. Community Integration – Bringing healing insights into daily life and supportive relationships.

Our programs integrate ecotherapy, animal-assisted healing, polyvagal-informed practices, mindfulness, movement, and community support to foster lasting healing and connection. 💚🐻

Community Grief Workshop: Stepping Into Your Ecological Identity (Inter-Dependence Day) July 5 | 1:00–4:30 PM

“Grief and joy have been sisters since the beginning of time.” — Robin Wall Kimmerer
Do you ever find yourself slipping into apathy when faced with the state of the Earth, the suffering of animals, political division, or the constant rumors of war?
What if grief is not a problem to solve, but a doorway to walk through?
What breaks our hearts can also break us open—to greater love, deeper purpose, and a more authentic relationship with life itself.
Grief is not weakness. Grief is courage coming home. It is evidence of how deeply we love.
Join us for an afternoon of community, reflection, nature connection, and gentle practices designed to help transform overwhelm into presence, purpose, and possibility. Allow the land, the animals of Mother Bear Sanctuary, and skilled facilitation to support you in moving through grief and rediscovering your ecological identity—your belonging within the larger web of life.
When held with care, grief becomes fertilizer for growth. It deepens our roots and opens our hearts to a love big enough to hold both sorrow and joy.
